Young and Creative Tenuta La Cà

Tenuta La Cà is a winery, farmhouse, and home, run by Pietro and his brother Aldo, located in Calmasino di Bardolino, on Lake Garda, 25 km from Verona. It has an area of 15 hectares on the morainic hills covered with olives and vineyards. It is a relatively young winery and aims at uniting the land with their passion for winemaking. The winemaking approach here is creative but always with a strong scientific basis. It could not be otherwise given their past of design and finance between Milan and London.

Biological Natural Processes at the Winery

The vineyards are as close as 600 meters to the winery and feature five different soil types with adequate exposure to sunlight and are irrigated by natural aquifers. The cellar operates entirely according to biological processes. They collect the bunches by hand from each parcel, select them one by one and vinify them using the drop method that brings the grapes to undergo the influences of gravity without the aid of mechanical pumps.

World-Class Innovative Wines

Experimentation and creativity lead to a blend of local as well as international grapes. Traminer, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Garganega, Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Lagrein grow here. These grapes are used to make red, white, rose, and sparkling wines. Some of the top wines from their collection include Bardolino Classico DOC, Veneto IGT Rosso, Veneto IGT Bianco, etc. They use science to replace technology, to maximize the qualities of the raw material, and an oenology by subtraction that favors a natural approach.
