The Story of Terre Di Perseto nel Chianti Classico

'Terre di Perseto' is placed among the Chianti Classico rolling hills, on the road linking the village of San Casciano in Val di Pesa to the village of Greve in Chianti, in the oldest and most appreciated area for the production of Chianti Classico wines and extra-virgin olive oils.

Our estate covers a total area of about 40 hectares, of which about 20 hectares are covered with vineyards, 6 hectares are planted with olive trees and the rest is covered with woods.

The company was founded by Metello Sabatini in 1958, while today is led by his grandsons Niccolò and Daniel, who have taken over the family wine-making tradition with passion and dedication:

Terre di Perseto's vineyards cover about 20 hectares and are ideally located for sun exposure as well as soil quality. They are placed at an altitude of 275 meters above sea level, facing South-West. The grapes grown are: Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Canaiolo, Syrah, Montepulciano and Trebbiano.

The nature of this soil is called 'limestone/Alberese type', a very draining soil with a rich presence of mineral salts, which contribute to giving our wines elegance, roundness on the palate, and a unique character.

Our wines express the history of traditional craftsmanship and family work and are characterized by elegance, perfume, and pleasantness on the palate.
