The Brotte family has been passing on its know-how since 1931, and today you can be part of the adventure by discovering their secrets. A tasting of 3 wines awaits you, as well as a visit to the Brotte Wine Museum! Created in 1972 by Jeanne Brotte, grandmother of the current owner. This museum is unique in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and will teach you everything you need to know about vines and wine, and the history of the Brotte family!

A really interesting museum followed by a tasting experience, with plenty to occupy you for around an hour to 90 minutes. I must admit, I thought we would get the opportunity to see the wine making process itself, rather than the videos and exhibits and there was a window to the working vineyard adjacent to the museum space - but this was not part of the experience. Also, the tour is self guided with audio pods - not a 'guided tour' as might be expected. The wines from the tasting were excellent and there are plenty of them to buy at reasonable prices, from around EUR 8 for a Cotes du Rhone, to EUR 25 - 50 for the more popular Chateauneuf du Pape and upwards.
