Podere della Bruciata is a small winery located on picturesque hills, surrounded by oak forests in the heart of Montepulciano. The company specializes in the production of wines, grappa, vermouth, olive oil and seasonal jams.
The Nobile di Montepulciano is one of the first Italian DOCGs, with a history dating back over 600 years. Only manual harvesting has ever been used at Podere Della Bruciata, with the grapes being handled with care. Their daily lives are built on a constant pursuit for better wine quality.
Podere della Bruciata has always focused on organic and natural viticulture, based on the production of excellent wine in great admiration of the environment and the consumer, without the need for insecticides, pesticides, herbicides, synthetic chemical compounds, or intrusive oenological practices in the winemaking process.
Their wines are the best representation of the region where they are grown. That’s why the winery decided to use natural yeasts instead of artificial yeasts to condition the must, allowing the maceration time to be extended. At least according to the winery, wood should “”enhance”” rather than “”change”” the flavor of the wine. As a result, only large barrels with light toasting are used for aging.
