Bell Tower on the Logo of La Ciarliana Winery

Perched on the magnificent hills, the La Ciarliana Winery is located in the Montepulciano region of Tuscany. The company covers a total area of 21 hectares. The company got its name after a little church, positioned in the vineyards in front of the property. Also, the logo of the winery is taken from the bell tower based on the Pieve. The story of the winemaking family was started over 50 years back by the grandfather of the current owner. Following the footsteps of father, Santo Pellegrino, and traditions of his grandfather, today, Luigi is handling all the management of the La Ciarliana Winery. The first vintage was bottled in 1996 and the cellar was built in 2002.

Using Non-Invasive Methods in the Vineyards

Vigna Scianello, the most charming vineyard of the winery, extends over an area of 4.5 hectares, where Luigi grows top-quality Sangiovese grape. Using these vines, he produces high-quality red wines under the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG status Vigna ‘Scianello, the Cru of the estate. At La Ciarliana, the staff uses only non-invasive methods in the vineyards, respecting the nature and biodiversity of the region. During the harvesting season, grapes are picked manually, and only the best bunches are moved to the cellar for destemming, soft crushing and fermentation.

Experience the Well-Decorated Tasting Room of La Ciarliana

The cellar is an underground cellar, equipped with an exclusive area for each winemaking, bottling, and the aging process. La Ciarliana also consists of a well-furnished wine tasting room and a cozy lounge for guests whose terrace gives a mesmerizing view of the scenic beauty of the estate. The lounge area at La Ciarliana Winery is the exquisite place where guests are invited for a unique wine tasting experience.
