With vineyards dotted throughout the picturesque countryside of Maipú, Viña el Cerno is a family-owned winery based in the region of Mendoza, Argentina. The vineyards are located in ideal temperature conditions, enjoying the microclimate and lush soils of the Maipú.

Since 1997, Viña el Cerno Winery has been producing organic wines of various style through traditional winemaking techniques.

The story of Viña el Cerno Winery began at the end of the 20th century when in 1998, the owners opened the doors of winery to guests and visitors. The producers utilized the antique buildings over 110 years old as a shelter for their wines, where tourists are welcome to discover the rich history of the family and taste their wine offerings. All the wines are made with the following philosophy and tradition of their ancestors and, thus, the vintages express the emotions and cultures of previous members of the family. With love and dedication, the current members of the family work in the vineyards of Viña el Cerno continueing their own experiences by producing high quality grapes.

Winemaking in Harmony with Nature

With respect for nature and its surroundings, only organic viticulture practices are carried out in the vineyards to produce a large variety of organic grapes including Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Chardonnay, and rich Torrontes. Both Rosado and Espumoso, or sparkling wines, are created at Viña el Cerno. Each vine reflects the essence of soils they are grown in with a unique aroma. These wines are processed in the cellar to produce delicious red, white, and sparkling wines, all under various brands.
