Colonia Caroya Wine Tour

It is a one-day tour in which we will visit two wineries and vineyards in Colonia Caroya and we will discover the flavors of this particular terroir. The proposal is to tour this area, historic in terms of its relationship with viticulture in the province, letting ourselves be guided by the wine paths, its landscapes, its flavors and the stories of small producers who are making quality wines in very limited editions.

All tours are with prior reservation and limited spaces:

from 2 to 7 people.

Itinerary

We will depart from the city of Córdoba towards the north, arriving at Colonia Caroya barely an hour later. We will arrive at the first winery where we will take a guided walk through the vineyard to learn about the different vines, the irrigation system, the care the vineyard receives, the type of soil, the pruning technique and many other details that come together to achieve the maximum expression of the fruit. All this surrounded by a beautiful environment that makes the experience a moment full of magic.

Once in the winery we will visit the vinification rooms and the different stages that the grape goes through from the harvest to the aging in oak barrels with their specific conditions of temperature, humidity and light. Thus, we will discover the story that each winery and each wine have to tell.

Later we will begin to play with sight, smell and taste in search of colours, flavors and aromas that allow us to recognize the wines we taste and enjoy the wonderful sensory journey they offer.

We will have lunch in a restaurant in the area or in the winery, where we will combine wine and gastronomy, tasting different wines and putting into practice the notions learned.

The visit will continue with a new vineyard and winery where we will be able to appreciate differences, different ways of working and how each winery seeks to express these particularities in the wines they produce to give them their own character and imprint.
