Body and Soul of Viña Santa Cruz

In 2003, Viña Santa Cruz was born, a vineyard with "Body and Soul" under the innovative vision of our President of the Cardoen group, Carlos Cardoen C., a visionary Chilean businessman who loves our land, and its traditions, and the Lolol Terroir. We mix the great oenological potential of Lolol with the cultural context of the people that preceded us. Its body is reflected in the Chamán Reserva, Chamán Gran Reserva, Make Make, Tupu and Santa Cruz wine lines. And its soul is known in the visit through a cable car that transports to the Mapuche, Aymara, and Rapa Nui villages, cultures that inspire the production and labels of our wine lines.

Terroir of Vina Santa Cruz

Our 150-hectare vineyard, planted 40 km in a direct line from the Pacific Ocean, is situated in the municipality of Lolol in the Colchagua Costa Designation of Origin. The Colchagua wine region in Chile is recognized for its variety of soil types. The main type of soil found in this region is volcanic ash, which helps the vines grow and produce high yields. There's also a variety of other soils such as alluvial, sedimentary, and metamorphic sandstone.

Sustainable Vineyard

Since 2011, we have been certified as a sustainable vineyard, and each year, we work to improve in these areas: our processes, our human team, our products, and the communities in which our business operates. By doing so, we hope to become better, more effective, and more respectable in all of these areas. In 2017, Vina Santa Cruz became Chile's first 100% solar vineyard. We produce high-quality, enjoyable, and responsible products with the intention of leaving our planet in better shape than when we found it.
