Vines & Villages – 1 Day Kakheti (Signagi) Premium-Authentic Food & Wine Tour

Visit the mountain village of Signagi, walk the city walls with stunning views of the Caucasus mountains. 4 to 6 course wine pairing lunch (smaller portions) + hearty home made dinner (mini-supra) with an artisan winemaker.  Visit 3 wineries total, taste 10+ wines across 2+ wine appellations.

• Visit a high-class family owned vineyard and "marani" (wine cellar) in the Manavi microzone, taste traditional qvevri (amphorae) alongside European style wines made with Georgian grapes.
• Have a 4 to 6 course wine pairing lunch (smaller portions to leave room for dinner) of elevated Georgian cuisine prepared by the in-house chef. Georgian dishes with modern interpretations. (2 to 3 persons = 4 course lunch, vegetarian possible. 4 to 7 persons = 6 course lunch, vegetarians 5 course but 6 wines)
• Meet a winemaker at his marani (wine cellar) and taste his wines (micro-production, <15,000 bottles per year). Learn about Georgia's 8000 year history of winemaking - the oldest on Earth.
• Visit the cobbled streets of the picturesque mountain village of Signagi. Walk the city wall (the second longest fortification wall in the world, after China) for amazing views of the Alazani valley and Caucasus mountains. Make a short stop at Bobde monastery (optional).
• Mini-Supra (feast). Explore unique homemade wines and specialist local dishes while being introduced to the culture of the tamada (toastmaster).
• Help BBQ "mtsvadi" with your host at their home winery, and enjoy along with your mini-supra.
