Who is the Temi Community?

The Temi Community is a social enterprise that is located in the Gremi village in Kakheti, Georgia. The community is home to approximately 70 people of varying backgrounds, cultures, and abilities who work and live in the community. The philosophy at Temi is that all humans are equal and that everyone should be given the chance to reach their full potential. This community produces organic wines, fruit juices and touristic offerings to visitors of the Kakheti region.

The Temi Community Wines

The winery of the Temi Community Wines is located in the Kindzmarauli Grand Cru microzone of Georgia. It is here that the community produces high-quality organic wines using the traditional Georgian Qvevri methods. The wines are made using the traditional Georgian grape varieties of Rkatsiteli and Saperavi. In recent times the Temi Community wines have been recognized for their excellence in both Georgia and abroad. The wines were exported to a number of European and Asian countries and have won a number of prestigious awards. All of the Temi Community wines are bottled in 0.75-liter bottles and are sold at the winery and across Georgia. These wines include Saperavi Dry Red, Semi-Sweet Red and Dry white/amber.

Experiencing the Temi Community

At the Temi Community estate, there are a number of leisure activities for visitors to enjoy besides just enjoying the wonderful organic wines. There is a local restaurant, various wine tasting experiences, a community tour, singing performances, qvevri openings, churchkhela making, khinkali making, bike rental, grape harvesting, grape crushing and the baking of bread. All of these activities as well as the unique character of the Temi Community make it an exciting place to visit that is unlike anywhere else in Georgia.
