KTW Wine House: Dedicated towards promoting Georgian wine traditions

The KTW Wine House

“Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking” is one of the largest wine and spirits producing companies in Georgia and the Caucasus region. Established in 2001, it produces wine, brandy, and sparkling wines using traditional Georgian techniques mixed with the state of art technologies. This allows the company to preserve an old, unique taste of wine and create its signature style to spread to the world. It all starts with planting and harvesting the finest quality Georgian grapes all over the country. Then the state-of-the-art machinery is used for all the processes that grape and spirits demand, starting from grape preparation to fermentation and storage. Finally, after merging modern technologies and ancient traditions of wine-making, KTW preserves an old, unique taste of wine, creates its unrepeatable style, and offers the finest Georgian wines to the world.

Georgian Qvevri wines

Qvevri is a traditional Georgian clay vessel used for making, aging, and storing wine. The clay vessel is buried in the ground, which guarantees an optimal temperature for the aging and storing wine, while its egg-like shape favours the processes inside: chacha (grape skins, stalks and pips) sinks to the bottom while the liquid floats above. This wine-making process is said to date back 8000 years. The same process is used for a majority of wines produced in the KTW Patardzeuli. This ensures that the wines produced here are rich in composition and have a distinctive taste and quality.
