Most of the wines and honey mead made by the winery are put in recyclable pouches

Unique meaning behind 7C’s Winery

The name 7C signifies the last names of the 6 members of the family. Dwight, Jean, and their six children are joined by Jean’s mom, who joined as an investor and hence the name 7C. Earlier, the thought was to keep a nautical theme, but in the middle of a cattle country, a western theme seemed more suitable. Jean Ann Crevelt and Dwight are the owners of the winery, who originally hail from the Midwest region and moved to the Missouri region to open their own winery.

The winery has won many awards worldwide

Dwight and Jean have four children, Michelle, Michael, Megan, and Matthew. Jean even took classes with Viticulture and Enology Science and Technology Alliance through the Missouri State University. While preparing to open the winery, Dwight and Jean had made many wines as amateurs that won multiple awards in many competitions worldwide. The company’s aim is to grow healthy, ripe grapes and make wines and mead. There are more than a dozen varieties of mead available anytime.

Recyclable pouches are used for wines and mead

Norton, Chambourcin, Vidal, St. Vincent, Vignoles, Concord, and Cataawba are some of the grape varieties grown here and used to make their red and rose wines alongside their famous meads. Most of their wine and mead is put in 375 and 750 ml. pouches. These pouches are recyclable and reduce the impact on the environment. The pouches are lightweight and easy-to-carry that do not need any corkscrew, and remain fresh upon opening. There are many other exciting places to visit near the winery for tourists.
