The Moselle Wine Region

The Moselle wine region is one of the most-visited wine regions in Germany. It is situated on the river Moselle, which divides Luxembourg and Germany. The Moselle wine region has a long and distinguished history that starts with Roman times when it was called “Mosella”. The soil conditions in the Moselle wine region of Germany are excellent for producing high-quality wine. The region's clay soil, which is considered to be a type of limestone, is ideal for grape growing. The soil structure is loose and well drained with an abundance of nutrients making it perfect for viticulture

Natural Chemical Free Wines

The Wein+Gut Oster team members are dedicated to producing wines naturally. Their wines are free of harmful chemicals as they do not add any additives during the manufacturing of wines. The purpose of growing grapes organically and creating wines naturally is to capture the essence and character of the land of Moselle.

Fantastic wine and dine experience

We had a fantastic evening, at this small family owned winery, where a wine got paired with every dish. We got very good typical German/Austrian dishes. The host was very friendly and gave a nice explanation about every wine. All in all a would recommend experience.

A Great Experience

The wine cellar tour and tastings were very informative and enjoyable. Our host was friendly, knowledgable, and gave tours in both German and English. What a lovely surprise to find that we could enjoy our evening meal there afterwards. The Schnitzel was just as the menu said…..tender and juicy on the inside, and the wine of high quality and a perfect pairing for our meal.
