Come to the Winery with 12 Generations of Winemaking Traditions in Frankonia

German Winery with Quality Philosophy

Weingut Arnold is located in one of the most historical and prosperous wine regions of Germany. It was established in 1673 – almost 350 years ago. There is now the 12th generation of the same family which has been passing the winemaking craft knowledge from parents to children. No surprise that the winery produces outstanding wines and is honoured with the membership in the elite German Assosiation of Wineries. Top 200 wineries from all german lands belong to this club in order to glorify the Deutsch art of making wines all over the globe.

Diverse Vineyards of Frankofonia

The family grows vines at 5 different vineyards around the cellar. Pfülben has a steep slope (up to 60 degrees) and is considered one of the major premium location in Frankonia. Kapellenberg has optimal proportion of sand in soils which gives good maturity and fruitiness for wines made of rare Scheurebe and Domina grape varietals grown here. Other interesting vineyards where excellent Chardonnay are growing is Teufelskeller – from German it translates literally “Devil’s Cellar”. There must be an intersting story that backs up such mystic name of the vineyard – the Weingut Arnold winemakers always share it with their visitors. Other 2 vineyards also have 2 intriguing names – Marssberg (from ancient god of war – Mars) and Sonnenstuhl (from German “Sunchair”).

A Pyramid of Quality

Weingut Arnold produces red, white, sparkling and sweet wines from both world-known varietals (Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Riesling) and local unique gems – Blauer Zweigelt, Spätburgunder and Bacchus. Due to its rich wine culture and wide range of wines, the winery professionals decided to adapt their product to the Pyramid of Quality. On the basis, there is VDP.GUTSWEINE – good aromatic wines that best-to-drink young. The second stage is VDP.ORTSWEINE for Wines with regional characteristics from Randersacker and Eibelstadt. The third level is VDP.ERSTE LAGE and VDP.GROSSE LAGE – exceptional complex wines which resemble unique terroir.
